The Sharjah Business Women Council (SBWC) was established to provide women a strong platform that will allow them to use their capabilities and skills in order to build effective partnerships in economic, social, scientific and cultural sectors. Their excellent leadership capabilities, ability to ensure positive change and build a better future was the driving force for Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, who introduced an array of programmes, initiatives and incentives to further elevate the status of women in the UAE.
SBWC offers a stimulating and nurturing environment to established and emerging businesswomen, by providing them with knowledge, counselling and training in order to tap into opportunities that can allow them to qualitatively contribute to both the market and society.
To this end, SBWC continues to expand its network of supporters and partnerships in all fields. The majority of people, including women, regard their occupations as an expression of existence. When they see their active contributions positively impacting their personal advancement and that of their society, it boosts their self-esteem and confirms the importance of their role and purpose.
At SWBC, we persistently strive to ensure that women have a level playing field when it comes to business and entrepreneurial opportunities as well as access to life changing resources. We also guarantee fair competition, where individuals will only be judged on the basis of their skills, capabilities, efficiencies and resourcefulness.
We are grateful for the UAE’s excellent leadership, which strives to care for all its citizens and residents by facilitating open and fair opportunities for individuals to achieve their full potential in their professional careers. Our leaders see human capital as the cornerstone of sustainable and equitable development. Our country ranks among the world’s top nations when it comes to women participation in the economy and society, since elevating women’s capabilities is a national responsibility, as directed by our wise leadership.
The leadership’s support along with female citizen’s determination has helped us progressively build on our achievements. We aspire to strongly continue on this path, because our aspiration for success and ambitions are limitless.
